Madison Nixon

Madison Nixon is the ceramicist and artist behind Studio Aflora.

Her creative path began in painting, particularly with oils, where she found joy in florals, organic patterns, and earthy, expressive colour palettes.

While she loved the emotional depth of painting, the subjectivity of fine art led her to seek a more tangible form of expression. One that people could bring into their homes and use in daily life.

She first explored a bright coloured, abstract approach to her ceramic works, with the world’s natural flora as her subject.

Today, her work is more restrained and intentional, echoing nature not through literal motifs but through tactile finishes, raw clay textures, and a grounded, earthy palette.
